What is being developed

One integrated system, not a random assortment of gear.

  • 44 curated fliesSubsurface, surface, and film patterns organized by side, decision cell, pattern, and size.
  • Physical decision overlaysReal insect recognition, tied-fly reference, symbols, and field-use guidance aligned with the flies.
  • Rigging Essentials PouchLeaders, matching tippet, lead-free depth control, and a dedicated hookless practice fly.
  • River Intelligence unlockComplete Upper Au Sable education and customer support included with purchase.
  • Exact replacement architectureReplace by side, cell, size, and pattern without rebuilding the whole box.

Inside the physical system

Designed around field decisions, not shelf presentation alone.

Side A: Subsurface

Nymphs, larvae, pupae, soft hackles, and a streamer selection organized for water-column and presentation decisions.

Side B: Surface + Film

Dry flies, emergers, terrestrials, and surface-film options organized for visible activity and searching presentations.

13 Decision Cells

Each cell connects a fly group with life stage, water column, presentation, rig compatibility, and exact replacement support.

The overlay architecture

See the natural. Find the fly. Understand the symbols.

Each fly space is being designed around a consistent card pattern with a natural-insect image, smaller tied-fly reference, cell code, pattern name, size and quantity, and compact field symbols.

The cards are intended to cover only part of the fly bank, remain aligned with the corresponding flies, and flip aside when the angler needs direct access.
